Occupational Therapist - Home Care jobs in South Carolina

Bella Home Care is looking to add a PRN occupational therapist to the team.

Duties to include:

- Provide patient care and develop treatment plans for individuals with various conditions and injuries

- Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate therapy interventions

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes

- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to design customized therapy programs

- Provide acute care therapy services in settings such as hospitals and intensive care units (ICUs)

- Administer speech therapy as needed to address communication and swallowing difficulties

- Engage in case management activities to ensure continuity of care for patients

- Specialize in pediatrics or critical care as desired

- Promote occupational health and wellness through education and prevention programs

Skills to include:

- Strong patient care skills with a focus on individualized treatment plans

- Proficient in working with ICU patients and addressing their unique needs

- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform therapy interventions

- Experience in acute care settings, providing therapy services to patients with complex medical conditions

- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques to address communication and swallowing challenges

- Ability to effectively manage cases, ensuring seamless transitions between different levels of care

- Specialization in pediatrics or critical care is a plus, but not required
