We are seeking a passionate and experienced preschool director to lead our Goddard School at Lynnwood, WA, team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep commitment to early childhood education, a strong understanding of preschool operations, and a passion for fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Goddard is a leading national franchise in early childhood. Lynnwood, WA, is a soon-to-open location (under construction), and we are setting up a new team for our grand opening in February or March 2024. As a visionary and dedicated leader, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our preschool and provide young learners with a foundation for lifelong success.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and oversee all aspects of the preschool's daily operations, including curriculum development, staff management, and parent communication.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the holistic growth of young learners.
Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure a high-quality teaching team.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
Financial Management: Oversee the preschool's budget, manage finances efficiently, and work to achieve and maintain financial sustainability.
Parent Communication: Foster positive relationships with parents and families, maintaining open and transparent communication channels.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain partnerships with the local community, including parents, educational organizations, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in early childhood education or a related field
State licensing as a preschool director or eligibility to obtain it.
Proven experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting
Strong understanding of child development, curriculum development, and educational best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
