Devenish Nutrition is searching for an Assistant Plant Manager for our Maquoketa, Iowa production facility. This position is responsible for routine quality, warehousing, safety and manufacturing functions as well as assisting the plant manager with staffing, training and scheduling operations. This position requires knowledge of feed manufacturing processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist Plant Manager with daily plant operations.

· Inventory counting and reconciliation

o Daily cycle counts

o Critical premix reconciliations

· Perform routine quality assurance functions.

o Lot code verifications

o Facility inspections

· Shipping and Receiving

o Document preparation

o Inbound/Outbound verifications

· Safety responsibilities

o Assist Safety Coordinator with employee training and follow up

· Serve as the back up for scheduling and managing production.

· General office duties

o Filing records

o Preparing production documents

· Machinery operation

o Forklifts, process equipment, computer operations

· Maintain Compliance with company quality policies, safety standards and good house keeping practices.

Qualifying Skills and Attributes:

· General knowledge of warehousing, shipping/receiving, production processes

· Animal feed or premix knowledge is a bonus

· Computer operations skills

· Desire to learn and follow company policies and procedures

· Self-motivation, positive communication skills and a desire to work as part of a team to achieve company goals and objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
