Nutrition Director directs and oversees all aspects of an organization's or institution's nutrition guidelines and initiatives. Oversees institution of basic nutrition plans including individualized menu plans and monitors intake and acceptance of meals, snacks, and supplements. Being a Nutrition Director monitors and ensures proper nutrition education is provided. May oversee menu planning or food service operations. Additionally, Nutrition Director requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Typically reports to top management. The Nutrition Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.     Summary:

    This position is for a Quality Control/Quality Assurance Specialist. Reporting to a PHD level chemist who is also a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt, the successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in the sciences (chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, food science etc.) as well as quality designation in Six Sigma methodology or similar. They will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical or food (human or pet) based quality function. They will also understand and have participated in regulatory affairs as it relates to product compliance and registration. The successful candidate is looking for the next level in their careers. They will be responsible for leading and managing our branded quality program with a continuous improvement mindset.

    Responsibilities:

    • ISO 9001:2015 program including biannual recertification
    • Deliver other third party certifications such as SFSF
    • Global multiple site remote monitoring and management of production quality
    • Specification setting using classic statistical techniques
    • Statistical analysis and quality KPI metric calculations and reporting
    • Implementation of statistical process control monitoring and process control reporting
    • Customer facing complaint investigation, documentation, and resolution
    • Production facing quality investigation and resolution
    • FSMA and FDA compliance
    • QC testing and full understanding of classic instrumentation and measurement
    • Support product stewardship diligence in conjunction with the regulatory affairs
    • Support new product development from production facing support and quality metrics
    • Work safely by actively mitigating risk in the laboratories
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education and Qualifications:

    • An experienced quality professional with 5 years working within a quality system
    • A third party quality designation/certification in a recognized quality methodology
    • Experience with chemical formulation, model system development, & product development and the role that quality plays in new product development
    • Strong bench chemistry understanding with instrumentation and measurement experience
    • ISO 9001 certification experience
    • Advanced degree considered a plus
    • Proven computer literacy and statistical analysis skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Physical Requirements:

    The ability to work and function in office, production, and laboratory environments

    Salary: $70,000 - 80,000 /year and benefits summarized below
