Variable Description: JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of Acute Care Services independently implements the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care throughout selected/assigned hospital nursing departments ( departments ). He/she demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized, age-appropriate care to patients served in these departments. Provides clinical leadership, educational support, policy development and implementation of evidence based practices in support of Acute Care Services within the hospital.QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor s degree in Nursing preferred. Work Experience: Minimum of one year acute care experience within the past two years. 6 months recent experience in Emergency or Critical Care setting is required. Previous teaching or leadership experience is preferred. Licensing Requirements: Current unencumbered California RN License. Current AHA BLS for healthcare providers, ACLS and PALS. Language Requirements: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for 4 hours and stand/walk for 6 hours or more per day. Must be able to reach overhead and lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Moderate exposure to hazardous waste and materials. Special Considerations: Will be dealing with patients age 0 to 120 years. Special Demands: Ability to work well with others and to perform a variety of assigned duties. Additional Information:OVERTIME & BILLING RULES: Billing Cycle is weekly. Any missed meals and breaks must be pre-approved by Supervisor prior to missing and will be paid with proof of approval. Overtime Policy: The overtime rate for any hours worked in excess of 40 hours/week shall be billable at the Regular Hourly Rate plus $10/hr. The holiday rate shall be defined as the Regular Hourly Rate plus $10/hr. The on-call rate shall be defined in the Job Posting. Note: For any 10-hour or 12-hour shifts, the Agency is to invoice MMH the All-Inclusive Rate for the entire shift. There is no elevated billing allowed for hours 9, 10, 11 & 12. Housing can be somewhat difficult to find. The facility prefers credentialing be sent in one batch. It is acceptable and encouraged to provide updates but please send compliance all at the same time once completed.
