Nursing Unit Secretary jobs in Orange, CA

Overview:
We are seeking a Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong administrative skills.

The primary duty is to keep the office running smoothly. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Patient information: Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments, welcoming and assisting patients, and ensuring they receive excellent customer service
• Patient records: Maintaining patient databases and medical records, including typing medical documents like provider dictations and patient charts
• Insurance claims: Working with insurance companies to process claims and co-payments. Familarity with American Specialty Health (ASHLink) is a plus.
• Payments: Processing invoices, bills, and payments.
• Office communications: Answering and directing phone calls, organizing and distributing messages, and managing office communications.
• Office supplies: Maintaining and ordering office supplies.
• Office space: Maintaining a tidy office space.
• Calling potential new and existing patients to schedule care, follow up and status updates
• Contacting patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
• Complying with office policy and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
