Duties: - Perform general clerical duties including answering phone calls, taking messages, and directing visitors - Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information - Schedule appointments and coordinate patient admissions and discharges - Assist with medical billing and insurance verification - Transcribe physician orders accurately and in a timely manner - Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow - Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed - Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality Skills: - Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient service - Proficient in office software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite - Knowledge of medical scheduling systems, such as Epic, is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures - Experience working in an emergency room (ER) setting is a plus - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience working at the front desk of a healthcare facility is desirable - Knowledge of dental practice management software, such as Dentrix, is a bonus Join our team as a Unit Secretary and contribute to the efficient operation of our healthcare facility.
