Nursing Supervisor - Nursing Home jobs in Tennessee
Nursing Supervisor - Nursing Home supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel in a nursing home. Participates in planning work of assigned units and coordinates activities with other patient care units and related departments. Being a Nursing Supervisor - Nursing Home ensures that patients' needs are met and evaluates nursing care and performance. Monitors patient recordkeeping activities for accuracy, completion, and compliance with all regulations. Additionally, Nursing Supervisor - Nursing Home requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Nursing Supervisor - Nursing Home supervises a small group of nursing staff in an organization. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home facility
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high-quality care for residents
- Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate with medical professionals to provide appropriate healthcare services to residents
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and facility operations
- Collaborate with social workers to address the social and emotional needs of residentsExperience:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field - Nursing Home Administrator License in good standing with the State of Tennessee Required
- Three or more years of previous experience in a leadership role in a nursing home or long-term care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing home operations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
