Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to oversee our healthcare facility. The ADON will be responsible for managing and coordinating all nursing activities with the DON, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety. This is a leadership position that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
- Develop and implement care plans for patients, in collaboration with the DON and interdisciplinary team
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as necessary
- Manage medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Oversee staffing levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure adequate coverage
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for nursing staff
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and technologies
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of hospice care, nursing home operations, and acute care settings
- Proficient in medical terminology and physiology
- Excellent leadership and management skills
