JOB SUMMARY
The Education Coordinator oversees the placement of students into clinical education rotations, job shadows, senior partnership, and other student related activities. Proactively communicates with departments about student placement opportunities, partnering with schools / universities to ensure requirements are met, communicate with students about their placement and organize student orientation. Submits monthly reports for student placements.
The Education Coordinator also coordinates the New Hire Orientation (NHO). Ensures that there is adequate space for the NHO, sends out Welcome emails, creates the NHO Packets for new hires as well as obtaining their IT Access Log In sheet. This position demands a high degree of initiative, problem solving capabilities, leadership characteristics, facilitation skills, ability to influence, comfort in managing multiple time sensitive priorities and attention to details.
REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES AND DEFINING BEHAVIORS
- Student Placement Coordination
- Coordinates all students for clinical rotations, internships, job shadows, senior partnerships, and other student-related activities independently or with minimal supervision.
- Maintains files of school affiliated with Affiliation Agreements obtained and updated in iContracts.
- Maintains contact/faculty names and contact information.
- Maintains calendar of student placements (location, date, number)

- Inputting students in HRP, the Student Tracker and coordinate the EPIC Training and provide IT Access Log On to the student

- Coordinates review of students with Nursing Leadership and EX Leadership (Operations and Talent) for the purposes of recruitment.
- New Hire Orientation Coordination
- Facilitates the delivery of the system-wide orientation program every other week or as needed.
- Coordinates attendance of the New Hire Orientation (NHO).
- Schedule rooms and space for the NHO.
- Sends communication with new hires via email, phone, virtual or in person.
- Maintains files and records updated.
- Creates NHO Packets, including the IT Access Log In sheet.
3. Administrative Support
a. Software Access Management
- Updates students on student tracking share point page.
- Submits information technology system (ITS) ticket to escalate security access changes as needed for both students and new hires.
- Submits ITS tickets for account build and change as needed.
- Contribution to Initiatives
- Participates in design and development of new processes.
- Assists in rolling out new curriculum in line with project plans.
- Identifies and reports potential training deficits.
- Seeks feedback on training initiatives from Operations Management.
- Seeks feedback on training initiatives from Learner participants
- Identifies improvement strategies for system design and implementation.
- Assists with process improvement initiatives.
- Learning management system support
Supports the role of the Learning Management System as a knowledge/evidence-based resource at the direction of the Learning Management System Administrator
- Follows LMS protocols and procedures in line with established procedures and policies
- Assists in the assignments to students/student groups needing content
- Support and assists in training for Faculty of affiliated schools.
- Records all hosted training sessions.
- Maintains record of training completion for all participating enrollees
- Works with LMS Admin to manage Pre & Post Class e-Learnings.
- Works with LMS Admin to update assigned learning requirements as needed.
- Produces LMS system reports as needed.
- Assists with LMS renovations as needed.
- Assists with curriculum assignment as needed for system upgrades.
- Participate in work groups to assist with the understanding of the needs of student groups and students.
- Other duties as needed to support role.
