Nursing Education Coordinator - Home Care jobs in District of Columbia

The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing daily/weekly staffing activities and ongoing supervision of caregivers to ensure quality care is delivered per client care plans. Also, will be responsible for staffing/scheduling of caregivers for all clients and ensuring staffing/scheduling needs are met on an ongoing basis. Performs various supervisory activities for scheduling appropriate caregivers to clients, manage high telephone volume on a daily basis, ability to answer email and phone calls after office hours and other duties as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow the established staffing patterns to adequately staff the clients.
• Conduct themselves professionally and provides the highest degree of customer service to our client and employees
• Prepare staff schedules.
• Prepare and keep daily staffing sheet up to date for at least seven (7) days.
• Keep roster of phone numbers for ALL nursing staff up to date.
• Assess call-in book daily for any call-ins.
• Ensures that aides maintain a case load/work hours that does not conflict with KBC policy
• Keep overtime book up to date.
• Document all tardiness and absenteeism with the appropriate notations on the staffing sheet and the call-in book.
• Prepare weekly staff vacancy report
• Responsible for re-assigning Home Health Aides to clients as needed and processing paperwork related to changes.
• Notifies management (nurses, supervisors) immediately of any staffing issues
• Complete absenteeism and tardy report.
• Convey a positive attitude and disposition at all times.
• Ensure adequate nursing coverage via PRN, part-time and overtime.
• Seek clarification regarding work functions from the DON.

Potential Applicants:

• Must have excellent communication and computer skills (Minimum of 45 wpm, with intermediate/expert skill in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must display the ability to work in a busy environment
• Must be able to work as a team and under time pressure.
• The duties include but are not limited to staffing home health aides to appropriate cases, as well as maintain/manage patient (computer based) schedules.
• Must be assertive.
• Must be dependable and honest.
• Bachelor’s Degree or better.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish would be a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
