Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the nursing department in a nursing home or home care setting
- Supervise and provide guidance to nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA and other privacy laws
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for patients
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with medical terminology and best practices in nursing management
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of employment
- Proven experience in nurse management or a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of nursing professionals
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Note: Experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not required.
