Nursing Director - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in order to maintain standards of patient care. Advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Being a Nursing Director - Nursing Home recommends establishment or revision of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Additionally, Nursing Director - Nursing Home typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to top management or a facility administrator. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Nursing Director - Nursing Home typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Nursing Home Administrator (Executive Director) Requirements:

    ·         Active License as required by state law.

    ·         Possess excellent knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, human resource development and management, nursing management, budget processes, and census and business development.

    ·         Excellent work history in the long-term care industry.

    ·         Current knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

    ·         Previous Nursing Home Administrator (Executive Director) experience in Skilled Nursing Facility required; 1-2 years of experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator highly preferred.

    ·         Commitment to team-oriented outcomes and quality care.

    ·         Possess effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, and governmental agencies, their representatives, and the community at large.

    ·         Ability to implement facility and company philosophy of care.

    ·         Ability to maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance.

    ·         Must be dependable.

     

    Nursing Home Administrator (Executive Director) Responsibilities:

    The Nursing Home Administrator (Executive Director) oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility to meet State and Federal regulations and supervises all department managers to ensure the facility is in compliance. The Administrator is responsible for the delivery of clinical services integrated with business plans while meeting or exceeding quality, clinical and utilization standards, performance measures, and financial productivity objectives. As a Nursing Home Administrator (Executive Director), you will also ensure premier customer service while facilitating resolutions of resident care issues
