Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to the Nursing Director. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing home and inpatient settings, as well as a strong understanding of the regulations and standards that govern the industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, and ensuring that all patients receive the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities:
- Implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide oversight of the nursing staff and ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department.
- Develop and implement quality assurance measures to ensure quality patient care.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on geriatric care, long-term care, and inpatient care.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
