Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide medical care and treatment in women's clinic setting. Provides care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a focus on reproduction and gynecology. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Works in outpatient settings, responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues. Follows established guidelines and protocols. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Seeking a Full Time Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work in southeastern Iowa.
JOB SUMMARY: Assess, plan and provide patient care within the clinic setting. Collaborate with Physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure patient healthcare needs are met. This position will be a part of the team when specified by the patient s needs. Comprehensive care including care coordination and self-management building skills to promote better outcomes for patients will be provided. As part of the team, there will be an emphasis on disease prevention and wellness, as well as being included in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases. As part of the team, this position will help provide care management and support the patient/family/caregiver prior to treatment, during treatment and following treatment with transitional care and coordination across all elements of the broader health care system. This would include specialty care, hospitalization/ER, long-term care, home health care, community services and support, test tracking and follow-up, referral tracking and follow-up, and care coordination transitions from one health care facility to another facility or to home.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of Advanced Registered Nursing Practice
- Five (5) years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a related healthcare setting
Certificates, Licensure, Registrations
- Currently licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in the State of Iowa
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon completion of orientation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated Leadership skills
- Knowledge of healthcare policy and societal factors affecting the delivery of healthcare preferred
