Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health jobs in Gainesville, FL
Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide medical care and treatment in women's clinic setting. Provides care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a focus on reproduction and gynecology. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Works in outpatient settings, responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues. Follows established guidelines and protocols. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. We are currently seeking a PRN (as needed) Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Florida Women's Reception Center located in Ocala, Florida
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant works under the supervision of a physician in a correctional environment and is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management. This includes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and medication management.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must have a Florida license
- ARNP certification
- DEA License
- CPR up to date
- Be able to pass a criminal background and NPDB
