Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health jobs in Fort Wayne, IN

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for patient care within the Women's Walk In Care clinic, recordkeeping, and being a resource for nursing staff within the regular office as well. Will perform tasks independently as well as under the supervision of a physician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs all necessary patient care duties, including but not limited to: comprehensive physical assessments, establishing diagnosis, determine patients’ learning needs, order and interpret laboratory tests, prescribe medications, perform therapeutic or corrective measures, refer patients to other providers as needed, and medical records management
• Serves as a resource for nursing staff
• Participates in projects and committees as needed
• Responsible for other tasks as assigned

EDUCATION: Master’s of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing is required

EXPERIENCE: One year or more of professional mid-level experience

REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed Nurse Practitioner; maintain Registered Nurse license; Must maintain Prescriptive Authority, DEA Licensing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
• Eligible or is certified through AANP.
• Licensed with prescriptive authority through the IN Board of Nursing (NPs) (A Collaborative Agreement will be in place when hired)
• Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
