River Ridge Behavioral Health has an immediate opening in Natchez , Mississippi for a Full-Time Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Qualified applicants will be responsible for conducting initial medication evaluations, provide follow-up medication evaluations, monitoring of adults with serious mental illness and child/adolescents with serious emotional disorders.
Applicants must be accessible to clinical stall for case consultation and treatment planning and will work closely with the psychiatrists and nursing staff to fulfill these duties.
Applicants will receive minimal supervision form department head and has contact with pharmacies, labs, pharmaceutical companies and medical facilities outside the organization.
Applicants must be certified by the nursing board and licensed to practice as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of Mississippi.
Provide supervision to staff in making application and letters to companies for patient assistance programs for clients who have not insurance and cannot afford medications.
Applicants will be on call every other weekend
Nurse Practitioner will provide psycho therapeutic nursing and coordinate educational interventions.
Meet with pharmaceutical representative to obtain samples of medications for indigent consumers.
