Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care jobs in Silver Spring, MD

Inova, one of the nation's leading health care providers, and GoHealth Urgent Care, an on-demand consumer-centric care company, recently announced a new partnership in 2022 to operate urgent care centers across the Northern Virginia area.

This new partnership creates an excellent opportunity for Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join our team! We are looking for a full-time PA/NP. Contact Nicole below for details and locations!

JOB SUMMARY:

• Provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections.
• Treat minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting.
• Assess and recognize more serious conditions and direct patients to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.
• Must pick up at least 2 shifts a month.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 1 year of fulltime experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting as a NP or PA
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages)
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
• Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification is required
• Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and appropriate certification required (ANCC or AANP)
