Provides direct care and follow-up for patients in surgical care units. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Surgical orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Surgical requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Experienced RN who possess leadership skills. Full time Mon- Fri, helping to run clinics for a very busy surgical practice. EHR experience required. Job duties to include but not limited to, the direction and management of clinical office workflow. Candidate will do assessment/intake of patients in an outpatient environment and triage patients clinical concerns. Will assist physician with minor in-office procedures, manage clinical records and flowsheets as directed by the physician and supervisor. Candidate will conduct patient education regarding disease and surgery processes and act as a liason for physician per NV State Board of Nursing regulations. The candidate will have oversight of Medical Assistants in the absense of the physicians. Must have good customer service skills, work well with a team.
