We are currently expanding our team and we're seeking a PMHNP who has experience working in an outpatient mental health facility. The ideal candidate should possess excellent patient care skills, a strong appreciation for teamwork, and the ability to work independently. We are looking for a self-motivated PMHNP who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and is eager to bring their enthusiasm to work every day.

Qualifications

• Board Certified by either ANCC or AANP as an psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) / (PMHNP-BC preferred).
• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Adhere to all pertinent federal and state regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA and OSHA.
• Prescriptive authorization.
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
• Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred not required).
• Full vaccination against COVID-19 or a medical/religious exemption is required.

Resposibilities

• Conducting mental health screenings and evaluations to assess the mental health status of patients and identify potential mental health disorders.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans that are evidence-based and address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
• Prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications for medication management and adjusting dosages based on the patient's response to the treatment.
• Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, medications, and lifestyle changes that can improve overall well-being.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals such as psychologists, counselors, social workers, and psychiatrists to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Keeping accurate patient records and documentation to track the patient's progress and ensure continuity of care.
• Staying current with the best practices, advancements, and developments in the field of psychiatric mental health nursing to provide high-quality care to patients.
