    Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides healthcare services to some of the area’s most vulnerable populations.

    The organization is looking for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This individual performs medical examinations, counsel’s patients and develops patient health care plans providing well-child care and coordinating group health supervision. You will work alongside a great team of other Pediatricians, Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. You will enjoy the benefit of a 4 ½ day work week working alongside a great team at the Rocking Horse!

    Position Info:

    Position Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

    Primary Service Center: Springfield, Ohio (South Limestone Location)

    FLSA Status: Exempt – Salary position

    Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

    Education:

    Masters Degree in Nursing is required.

    Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio.

    Quick Facts:

    Will see on an average - 13 to 15 patients per day.

    4 ½ day work week – Office is closed on Friday afternoon.

    On-Call rotation is approximately 1:4

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     1. Education and/or Experience: Masters Degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

    2. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

    3. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    4. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

    5. Computer skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software and Word Processing software.

    6. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. An individual whom poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position. Registered Nurse and Certified American Nursing Association Nurse Practitioner.

    7. Other Skills and Abilities: The duties of this position are performed within the mission, vision, and values as defined by the Board of Directors. Must demonstrate an understanding of the role of Federally Qualified Health Centers as a safety net for all persons without regard for their ability to pay for services; appreciate patient-centered care in a medical home; and be committed to quality, comprehensive services through a team approach. Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are also necessary.

    8. Confidentiality: The PNP is required to understand the privacy policies and procedures. Patient Health Information (PHI) is confidential, only the minimal amount of PHI necessary to accomplish the internal purpose is to be shared or released by the PNP.

    9. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
