Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in a pediatric setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Scheduling:
- Weekends Only (12hr shifts) Dayshifts either 7am-7pm or 8am-8pm
Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) License that is active and in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing
Pediatric experience is not required – WE WILL TRAIN!
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Educating the family on proper care for the child and management of chronic conditions
- Nutritional status assessment
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Assessing and monitoring the child’s vital signs and overall health status
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Keeping accurate and detailed medical records
- Wound care education and support
- Assisting with mobility and physical therapy exercises
- Caring for children with vents, trachs, and feeding tubes
