Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric jobs in Maine
Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in a pediatric setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. All of the employees are active members of the community. This job opportunity is with a 25-bed acute care facility that also has several affiliated outpatient clinics in which they provide behavioral health, family practice / primary care and pain management treatment to patients.
- 2 years experience (preferably closer to 5 )
- PNP certified
- Outpatient experience req'd
The area is a friendly family community with many activities for children, the Recreation Department offers swimming lessons, tennis lessons, soccer, basketball, and t-ball. In the summer months there are craft fairs in the local park, band concerts by the community band on Thursday evenings and a farmers market in the downtown area every Saturday morning.
