Duties:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses and injuries
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Prescribe medications and administer vaccinations
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on various health topics
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems (Cerner)
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines, including HIPAA
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatrics
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Proficiency in psychopharmacology for pediatric patients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide compassionate care to children
