Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in an orthopedic setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. 1 year of related experience with clinical emphasis for nurse practitioner; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Current unrestricted RN license and NP license in applicable state required.
For business units, satisfactory completion of a pre-placement Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
