**Experience: 24 months of role experience is required. 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience is required. Requirements: Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license in hand at the time of application. This role may require floating to additional units and locations Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role. COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted. Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted. Additional Details: Guaranteed Hours 36 Perm staff does self-scheduling. Travelers will be scheduled where they are needed. They will allow block scheduling as long as the needs of the unit are met. Every-other-weekend. Holidays will depend on the needs of the unit. If they don't have enough perm staff to cover holidays, travelers would be expected to work holidays. Call or standby requirement: Depending on their contract they could be called off for low census (Traveler would need to discuss the specifics w/ their recruiter if they have questions about this) Travelers are the 1st to float. Floating is required to any MedSurg units. If floated to Tele they would be assigned patients w/ in skillset. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: A lot of elective surgeries: hips, knees, shoulders; some fractures from falls; back & neck (Neuro-surgeries), as well as general MedSurg Must have experience with ortho patients & PCA Pumps Charting System: Allscripts - Sunrise Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions. Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed. Please be sure to note on prescreen time-off requests Scrub: Royal Blue - Scrub jackets are not required; however, if they wear a jacket it must be an actual scrub jacket & must be royal blue.
