FlexWorx Medical Management has seven outpatient clinics located throughout Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Our outpatient clinics include FlexWorx Primary Care, Progressive Rehab physical therapy, Imaging Group of the Midsouth, Mt. Moriah Orthopaedics, and Pathways Neurological Center. Our medical providers include primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, an orthopedic surgeon, neurosurgeon, and neurologist. Our providers treat patients that have musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM and closed on the Weekends and all major holidays. This position is for one of our Memphis outpatient clinics.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner with experience in orthopedics and/or neurology (preferred). A passion of returning the patient back to their best possible health is a must.     Responsibilities

    • Has expertise in performing physical examinations of patients to evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal and neurological injuries
    • Order and perform appropriate diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, CT scans, and MRI
    • Advanced knowledge in determining, planning, and initiating appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary
    • Prescribe and dispense medications
    • Collaboration between the orthopedic surgeon and neurosurgeon staffed providers
    • Able to Interpret hospital records
    • Document medical information of patients
    • Educate, instruct, and counsel patients on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care
    • Encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviors
    • Request referral with other health care providers, such as physicians, specialists, and physical therapists when appropriate
    • Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends, and support research projects
    • Willingness to travel between clinics (if needed, travel compensation available)

    Qualifications

    • Experience in Orthopedics and/or Neurology (preferred)
    • Adequately dictate proper HPI, physical examination, diagnosis, plan, and complete within 24 hours of initial patient visit
    • Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school, a Master of Science in nursing
    • Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of Arkansas
    • Must have at least 1 year experience in either orthopedic, neurology, or neurosurgery field

    · Have an active DEA and NPI

    Job Type: Part-time / PRN (Flexible schedule, 16hrs / week)

    Pay Range: $56 - $61 per hour
