Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive care to orthopedic patients as well as assisting in the operating room. You will work closely with one of our surgeons and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients and manage acute and chronic conditions.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as medical imaging and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and perform injections as needed
- Assist in the operating room
- Provide education and counseling to patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and medication management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of primary and orthopedic care principles and practices
- Ability to perform injection procedures as necessary
- Experience in diagnostic evaluation and interpretation of test results
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques for infection control
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems
- Familiarity with medical imaging procedures and interpretation
- Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
