Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in an orthopedic setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Korzen Health is looking to add a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to our program.
We offer Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training. You will have a full-team in place from the initial start date. The Wound Care Center is an Academic Affiliated program.
You must have 2 years of NP experience in a procedural environment (i.e. urgent care, wound care, specialist medical office). We may be able to substitute similar RN experience in lieu.
Scope of Practice Includes:
Full Team- Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, Front end and back end support. Great Work Flow!
Team will do Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Team will average around 9-10 patients per day, with a majority of wound care and less than 5% Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. We expect the patient volume to increase to 15 patients in the future
EMR
Monday- Friday 8am-5pm- 40 hours a week. No Nights, No Call, No weekends
Compensation Model is base salary with bonus plan in place
You will work with Adult and Geriatric patients
