    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled, energetic, and motivated Nurse Practitioner with experience in practice, nursing education, and accreditation to join our team. NPACE is one of the nation’s leading accredited providers of continuing nursing education for nurse practitioners (NPs) and other advanced practice clinicians. We are looking for a creative, energetic and self-starting ANCC Program Director to join our team of passionate professionals. We are passionate about helping NPs create positive outcomes for patients and themselves, through relevant, exceptional education.

    Position Description:

    The position of ANCC Program Director at NPACE is a vital role to the functioning of the entire company. The ANCC Program Director oversees several key aspects of NPACE education including the below:

    - The ANCC Program Director is responsible for overseeing NPACE compliance with ANCC Accreditation Program criteria in education and operational activities, takes the lead in communicating with ANCC as needed regarding compliance with criteria, orientation for nurse planners to ensure qualification of meeting ANCC criteria, and is responsible for evaluating compliance with ANCC criteria.

    - The ANCC Program Director serves as the head of the ANCC planning committee and the NPACE Programming committee.

    - The ANCC Program Director also actively sets strategic educational goals year to year for NPACE through evaluation of needs assessment and other forms of data collected, as well as industry trends and guidelines, directing and leading through project management the educational aspects of NPACE. Measurement of whether goals are met and corrective action for not meeting said goals is also the purview of the ANCC Program Director. This includes input on 3rd party educational programs brought to NPACE by outside educational partners, grant funded programming, and sponsors.

    - The ANCC Program Director communicates routinely with all stakeholders including the Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, NPACE staff, Board of Directors, Content Experts, and all committees assigned of all aspects of the DoE, measures, projects, and operations affecting NPACE related to the Department of Education. Also, key in educating staff on NP trends and requirements for ANCC accreditation.

    - The ANCC program director will work under the Educational Program Manager/Coordinator and the Executive Director on educational projects.

    Duties:

    · Guides the development of live and online educational programs that promote continuous development NPACE goals and objectives.

    · Oversee educational programs and compliance with standards set by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and any other accrediting agencies or state/federal statutes with which NPACE seeks to comply.

    · Responsible for educational program evaluation and reporting

    · Facilitates articulation of NPACE educational programs with other institutions and develops partnerships with external agencies

    · Assumes a leadership and coordinative role in curriculum development and evaluation, including the establishment and assessment of learning outcomes and educational formats

    · Provides recommendations for instructional formats, educational sites and new technologies

    · Helps manage projects specific to educational learning

    · Forecasts changes in NP continuing education needs to the organization and helps make plans for future strategic operations accordingly

    · Serves as a member of the ANCC Planning Committee and Programming Committee and works closely with the Senior Nurse Planner to coordinate the committee’s activities

    · Oversees the preparation of appropriate accreditation reports to maintain full approval/accreditation status

    · Works to recruit and select faculty and speakers meet criteria for accreditation and innovation in educational programming

    · Executes and reports on the needs assessment and other key learning data trends yearly to the staff, board, and all stakeholders.

    · Clearly articulates and actions each step of the ANCC educational process from learning needs, gaps in knowledge, topics, solutions, outcomes and measures, teaching methods, engagement, assessment post event, summary, key reporting, and objectives met and lessons/learned/opportunities.

    · Attends all NPACE events throughout the year and also travels for outreach events 1-2 times per year. Meets for all staff in-office days when requested or in office as appropriate.

    · Works with the Executive Director to develop educational program budgets, fiscal planning, grants, sponsorships and other educational program funding

    · Review, track and maintain budget expenses for program design and speakers

    · Interview job applicants and make hiring recommendations

    · Evaluate nurse planner performance to recommend personnel actions such as hiring, retention, promotion, transfer or dismissal

    · Train, instruct and develop staff on DoE and education related needs.

    · Attendance of administrative meetings such as Board of Directors as needed

    · Grow the job and the role as needed for the benefit of the organization.

    · Job duties beyond what is outlined above as they pertain to industry changes, NP practice needs, and leadership as called for in the role.

    · Event travel or main office travel 7-9 times per year required.

    Degree, Certification, and License: The ANCC Program Director must be actively licensed as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse/nurse practitioner within the United States. This person must also hold a current certification as a nurse practitioner and maintain both license and certification throughout employment with NPACE. The ANCC Program Director must hold a master’s degree in nursing, a doctorate (DNP/PhD) is preferred.

    Qualifications:

    · Master’s degree in nursing with certification as a nurse practitioner. DNP or PhD preferred

    · Certified as nurse practitioner required

    · Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical NP practice, combined with nursing education, curriculum development, and/or nursing management & administration

    · Previous experience and understanding of educational accreditation standards and processes.

    · Proficient with database systems

    · Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software programs
