Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of newborn patients. Provides care for newborns and infants in a neonatal setting. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice.     Nurse Practitioner POSITION INFORMATION: This provider candidate provides primary care and Urgent care medical services to all patients by diagnosing, establishing and implementing the plan of care.

    Nurse Practitioner RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Obtains a detailed history and performs physical examination on all patients.
    • Documents history, exam and assessment in medical record appropriately.
    • Orders ancillary services such as x-ray, labs, etc., interpreting and evaluating the results.
    • Under direction of physician or other medical personnel, administers medication to patients.
    • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide efficient quality patient care. Evaluates and improves nursing practices and recommends modifications.
    • Responds to and intervenes in emergency situations such as prophylaxis, hypoglycemia, hypertension, hemorrhage, respiratory distress, etc.
    • Prescribes appropriate treatments following established clinic protocols.
    • Educates and counsels patients and their families on all aspects of patients' treatments.
    • Enter all records and notes in the EMR system; Greenway PrimeSuite.
    • Act as both primary care and urgent care provider.

    Part Time Position: Wed-Thur 4p-9p, Fri 1p-9p *subject to change. Compensation discussed in person

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: APRN, PNP, FNP and/or Master's Degree in Nursing, or PA
