Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist jobs in Pensacola, FL
Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients with stable and chronic illnesses. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Makes patient rounds. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist plans and coordinates rehabilitation, home health care, and follow-up services for patients with acute health issues. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Summary:
AllerVie Health is seeking a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our growing team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. Allergy and Asthma experience a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Required Skills and Abilities:- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
Education and Experience:- Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical field
Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
