Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients with stable and chronic illnesses. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Makes patient rounds. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist plans and coordinates rehabilitation, home health care, and follow-up services for patients with acute health issues. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Must meet Duo Health clinician credentialing criteria, including passing a background check and drug screen and meeting COVID-19 vaccine requirements.
Reliable transportation and a verifiable good driving record. Must be in the Bradenton area, and able to travel to patient homes.
Must be self-motivated and able to perform work in accordance with defined operating procedures.
Ability to develop and maintain inclusive and equitable relationships with patients, caregivers and staff
Experience working with community resources from diverse backgrounds
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Must be comfortable interacting with patients and care teams both telephonically and in-person.
