Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac jobs in Vermont
Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients in a cardiac unit. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Makes patient rounds. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The provider's responsibilities in this position include:
Responsible for complete care to patients in the ED including treatment and referral for treatment of acute/chronic, medical conditions and documentation of the same.
Responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and referrals using available technologies and therapeutics common to the ED, i.e. lab test, imaging, and electrocardiograms.
Procedures common to the ED and primary care may also be performed by the NP/PA.
