Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients in a cardiac unit. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Makes patient rounds. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Position Responsibilities
Work Environment
This job operates in a hospital and clinic office setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the hospital. This role may come in contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. There may be risk of exposure to blood and bodily fluids, latex, and odors/chemicals.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which utilizes an employment agreement. This position requires full-time hours which consist of varied hours and days throughout the week, as well as, after hours calls, as needed. Must be physically and mentally able to work extended hours when necessary.
