Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac jobs in Minnesota
Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients in a cardiac unit. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Makes patient rounds. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
Work Schedule: 0.75 FTE, Rotating Day/Night 12-hour shifts & every third weekend
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or masters degree program in Nursing. BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
- BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
