Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care jobs in Longview, TX
Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to manage care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care works in outpatient settings, responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues. Follows established guidelines and protocols. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Global Open Wound Care is a mobile wound care clinic specializing in chronic wound care. Our headquarters are in Southlake TX and we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner for Tyler TX and surrounding areas!
Our providers travel to the patient and collaborate with home health agencies and other healthcare professionals for treatment plans. We are looking for a part time nurse practitioner who enjoys their days to be different and has exceptional time management skills. We will supply you with all the materials you will need for successful treatment. Home health experience a plus. NextGen and eClinicalWorks experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and medical imaging
- Complete chart notes, pictures and orders
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Provide counseling and education to patients on wound care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide specialized care for patients with chronic, open wounds
- Provide care for patients including adults and elderly patientsExperience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting
- Experience in wound care is preferredPlease note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the healthcare facility.
