Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care jobs in Grand Prairie, TX
Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to manage care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care works in outpatient settings, responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues. Follows established guidelines and protocols. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are searching for dynamic Nurse Practitioners to join our growing family!
As a Nurse Practitioner in our Palliative Care Services Home Program, you will play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with advanced, life-limiting illnesses. You will collaborate with the Medical Director and social worker to address a patient's physical and emotional needs with a focus on improving their overall quality of life.
The Nurse Practitioner position will initially be offered as a PRN position for up to 20 hours a week. The goal of the program is to transition the position to full time with benefits within 90 days of completed orientation and onboarding.
