Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care jobs in Frederick, MD

Inova Loudoun Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility. We are licensed, Medicare certified, and AAAHC accredited. Our facility is located on the campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg.

We are seeking an experienced OR RN to provide quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies.

HOURS:

PRN, Varied days

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Circulates and scrubs for surgical procedures as assigned.
• Provides communication between team members in the surgical field and persons outside the operating room.
• Confirms surgical site with patient and surgeon.
• Maintains sterile environment during the surgical procedure.
• Conducts and documents sponge/sharps and instrument counts as required during the surgical procedure in conjunction with the OR technician.
• Completes intraoperative documentation of the procedure.
• Acts as patient advocate during their stay in the operating room.
• Assists with room turnover, including disposal of trash and linen, cleaning of OR table and floor, assembly and opening of sterile supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years of operating room nursing experience required. Scrubbing experience a plus, but not required
• Current Virginia RN license
• BLS certification
