Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to manage care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care works in outpatient settings, responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues. Follows established guidelines and protocols. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.   • We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Wound Care to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients in skilled nursing and assisted living settings. This position requires the NP to travel to Ocean County and surrounding areas to perform wound care in SNFs and ALFs. This is a Full-time position.

    Responsibilities:

    Manage wound care at skilled nursing and assisted living facilities
    Travel to multiple skilled nursing and ALFs
    Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
    Assess, monitor and report changes in patient symptoms
    Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding wound care
    Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
    Maintain accurate patient medical records
    Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience in nursing field
    Familiarity with medical software and equipment
    Ability to build rapport with patients
    Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    Knowledge and experience wound and ostomy care

    Education and Experience:

    Master of Science in Nursing
    Must be boarded in NJ and PA
    BOARD ELIGIBLE IS NOT ACCEPTED
    DEA license
    Excellent customer service skills
