Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a long-term care facility. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, and training clinical staff. Being a Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for evaluating patient health. Additionally, Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care may require an advanced degree. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Nurse Manager - Long-Term Care typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Relief Charge Nurse is a nurse who has been awarded additional duties to replace
the Charge RN on an intermittent basis (as needed).
DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise staff and overall clinical outcomes.
Ensure that quality care, customer service, and
employee relationships are always top priorities.
Supervise and provide career coaching to
existing members on staff.
Provide direct patient care, collect patient
data, make observations, and report pertinent information related to patient
care.
QUALIFICATIONS &
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a
current RN license in good standing (as required by state)
Must have 1
years of supervisory experience in
a hospital or acute care setting
Must have
stable work history and the dedication and commitment to lead our
healthcare team
Demonstrated
ability to maintain positive employee relationships required
Ability to
follow all applicable policies and procedures as well as current federal,
state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long
term care facilities Must have BLS and ACLS accredited from the American Heart Association (AHA)Must have IV certification if outside of NV, IV Course Curriculum is required upon hire
