Numerical Control Technician constructs, maintains, and tests numerically controlled machinery. Inspects equipment to ensure proper functioning. Being a Numerical Control Technician selects appropriate tools and determines best strategy for operations. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Numerical Control Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Numerical Control Technician gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.
