Nuclear Pharmacist under the direction of a physician, compounds and dispenses radiopharmaceutical drugs to medical care providers. Responsible for procuring, compounding, dispensing, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals. Being a Nuclear Pharmacist analyzes drugs for verification of identity and strength. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy. Additionally, Nuclear Pharmacist may require an advanced degree of pharmacy. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires license to practice. Nuclear Pharmacist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Responsibilities for the Pharmacist position:- Oversee dispensing of Free Products
- Receiving physician prescription orders and evaluation for appropriate dosage, potential drug interactions, route of administration
- Supervise Pharmacy Technicians
- Communicate with physician offices, patients., and call center staff
- Provide patient counseling, education and monitoring for Rx products and exercise good pharmacy practice
- Special Projects as business needs require
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements for this position:- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree
- Kansas Pharmacist License
- 2 years of recent experience as a pharmacist
- Retail or Specialty Pharmacy experience
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean organized work environment.
Hours for the Pharmacist position:- Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm (rotating Saturdays 8am-1pm)
- Training will be Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm for two weeks
Compensation for this position:- $60 per hour
