Nuclear Medicine Technologist jobs in Sunland Park, NM

Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments. Creates and enhances diagnostic images using a variety of imaging equipment and tools. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technologist collects biologic specimens and prepares data for interpretation by physicians. Follows radiation safety guidelines and documents radiopharmaceutical usage for regulatory compliance. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technologist may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically requires certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • NUCLEAR MED TECHNOLOGIST PRN ROTATING AT EAST CAMPUS

    Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures by the administration of Radiopharmaceuticals. Maintains accurate patient records of administered radiopharmaceuticals for compliance with proper authorities. Thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices and techniques. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to enable accurate patient positioning and ability to judge the acceptability of diagnostic images.

    Qualifications - External
    • Completion of accredited Radiology Technology or Nuclear Medicine Program
    • Nuclear Medicine Certification by ARRT (NM) and/or NMTCB.
    • and
    • MRT certification. Texas Medical Board
    • And
    • CPR Certification certified American Heart Association
    • Good communication and customer service skills.
