Nuclear Medicine Technician jobs in Wisconsin

Nuclear Medicine Technician provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol. Being a Nuclear Medicine Technician observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nuclear Medicine Technician typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Requires registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology certification Board, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.), or the American Society of Clinical Pathology.     As a nuclear medicine technologist, you'll prepare patients for testing by administering radioactive drugs. Working under the supervision of a physician at a hospital, physician's office, diagnostic lab or imaging center, you'll help patients understand the procedure, prep and deliver radioactive drugs, operate equipment, keep records and more. You'll play an important role in helping patients and providers get the answers they need.

    Minimum Requirements

    • At least 1 year of recent experience in relevant setting and specialty
    • ARRT/NMTCB Certification
    • BLS Certification (AHA)
    • Current state license (if applicable)
