This position will be expected to keep all Laboratory areas clean and orderly including offices, corridors, stairways, washrooms, and laboratories.
Employees will be expected to receive oral or written instructions from supervisors on a daily basis. The daily duties include but are not limited to sweeping, damp moping, scrubbing, floors and stairs following prescribed schedule.
Clean washrooms, toilets and fixtures and maintain them in a sanitary condition. Fill all dispensers and empty trash bins.
Dust, clean and vacuum rugs, desks, fixtures, and other structures, as necessary. Maintain work area and equipment in an orderly fashion.
Work safely with cleaning chemicals as well as operate floor strippers and waxing machines. Other duties include removing snow from walks and roadways using a shovel or hand-controlled power snowplow.
Shovel cinder sand rock salt on walks and roadways. Handle and relocate furniture and office type equipment.Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill High school diploma or vocational school graduate or equivalent with the ability to read and write.
