Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Craig Technologies considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Description:
As the authority and Survivability Engineer, you will apply hardening techniques in the development of the all-new Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) missile:
•Technical authority responsible for performing and mentoring others in complex survivability engineering tasks.
• Be the primary technical adviser/consultant in the field of Survivability for program leadership and customers.
• Ensure that the military-grade missile and space vehicle designs perform during and after exposure to natural and manmade radiation from the component through system levels
• Applying electrical, electronics, and physics theories to complete various tasks related to the Survivability field
• Conducting technical planning, specification derivation, modeling and design, test planning and implementation, documentation, verification/validation to support overall system needs and act as a technical consultant for key team members and customers
• Work with LM Space Enterprise Survivability Engineering group and other internal leading subject matter experts and mentor rising engineering talent on NGI and across Space.
To be successful you will typically have 14 years of professional experience.
This position is virtual however, the selected candidate will be required to attend some on-site meetings and periodically travel to program facilities, including customers, Craig Technologies, and subcontractors.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Authority in Natural Space, Nuclear/Manmade Radiation environments, or design hardness
• Experience in Software tools (e.g., SPICE, PSPICE, etc.)
• The ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• 14 years expertise in Natural Space and Nuclear/Manmade Radiation environments
• Rad Hard Space semiconductor or system hardening experience
• Specialist in Radiation software tools (e.g., NOVICE, Srim/Trim, Novice/Geant4, Creme96, Creme-mc, Shieldose, Spenvis, Omere, Ap8/Ap8, and Ap9/Ae9)
• Significant experience with Piece-part radiation testing, performance, and reliability
• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
• Advanced degree in a related subject area
• Active DoD secret clearance
