    Performs operational tests and determines product acceptability and quality on a wide variety of complex electronic production, components, subassemblies, and systems by following test specifications, standard test procedures, and/or general written/verbal instructions. Achieve product compliance by developing and executing MIL-STD compliance standards.

    Job Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Technical:

    • Coordinate and conduct qualification testing as required; MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275.
    • Maintain and update all HMI fixturing.
    • Must be able to multi-task effectively.
    • Maintain the overall safety and cleanliness of Engineering test areas.
    • Assure plans/processes are followed for all jobs.
    • Ensure on-time and accurate delivery test plans and reports.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot to component level.
    • Assist engineers and designers in all aspects of new product development and product improvements.

    Administrative

    • Schedule his/her work to meet Program deadlines.
    • Provide the proper and correct documentation to support the final product design.

    Required Skills:

    • Associate degree or technical school and equivalent experience.
    • 4 years minimum experience as a Technician in a MIL-STD compliance environment.
    • Experience working in an ISO 9001 facility.
    • Knowledge and experience with MIL-STD-1553 and associated test equipment.
    • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

    Desired Skills:

    • Knows how to operate test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters, thermal chambers, vibration tables).
    • Good electromechanical background. Excellent troubleshooter.
    • Ability to read Electrical schematics. Mechanical drawings a plus.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing fixture design as well as assembly processes.
    • Strong communicator, able to work with multiple departments.
    • Ability to work on a job to completion with minimum supervision.
    • Must be a team player and able to work well with engineers and other employees in a positive, productive, and appropriate manner.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Significant amount of sitting.
    • Ability to operate test equipment and light machinery.
    • Ability to stoop, bend, lift to 30lbs.
    • Periodically may require longer working hours.
