Engineering Technician II
Works on BQM-74E and BQM-177A Aerial targets and various types of electronic equipment, ordnance and related devices by performing one or a combination of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting and testing equipment. The equipment consists of many different kinds of circuits or multiple repetition of the same kind of circuit and includes, but is not limited to, the electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, radio, radar, navigational aids and controlling equipment. Apply technical knowledge and judgement to solve complex problems in determining work sequence and selecting tools and testing equipment. Candidate will receive technical guidance as required, from supervisor, or higher- level technicians and work is reviewed for specific compliance with accepted practices and work assignments. Maintains associated support equipment, repairs, inspects, troubleshoots, prepares or applies technical or maintenance specifications, standards or procedures using provided Technical Publications.

Conditions will vary. Work performed in enclosed buildings, outside in all types of weather or on ships with some high level antennae work. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Candidate must be capable of lifting 50 lbs, 50 - 100 lbs. assisted by another employee.
